Why is it that people find growing up to be such an ordeal? Does the thought of getting old bother them or is it really something else. Every Birth date that passes by makes some of us silently twitch especially when you reach the late twenties. They say age signifies wisdom and experience. They say a lot of things we don't want to believe. Best lessons are learnt through time, so is growing up really that bad?
Ironically all a young child does is dream of getting old, wants to be responsible and when the day comes he detests it and runs away. I've always seen kids cherish the good ol' life. Does age bring to us more wisdom than we need or is it that proximity to actuality takes away the innocence in a person and he has no choice but to train himself to be wiser, else the repercussions will be too grave. Maybe this responsibility takes a toll on someone more than anything else.
Well I'm sure when you grow up its a different ball game. But wasn't life much easier when the toughest decision ever was between watching your favourite TV show or going for a movie you just couldn't miss.
